• The Renter confirms that he/she has received the mobility scooter and its keys in good condition. If the Renter pre-booked the mobility scooter online, and upon receipt of the mobility scooter it is found not to be in good condition, the Renter must let Efteling know before he/she starts using the mobility scooter.
• The Renter confirms that he/she is familiar with and will comply with the applicable traffic rules and speed of the mobility scooter, namely a maximum of 5 km per hour.
• The Renter confirms that he/she is over 16 years of age and can provide valid identification. The renter must collect the mobility scooter in person if the renter has pre-booked the scooter online. 
• The rental for the mobility scooter must be paid in advance. If the Renter returns the mobility scooter earlier, the agreed rental price will continue to apply.
• The mobility scooters may be handed in until an hour after park closing time. lf the mobility scooter is returned late, a surcharge will be levied. For the first half hour, the Renter pays € 10, followed by € 10 for each hour the mobility scooter is returned late. If the mobility scooter is not returned at all, Efteling is entitled to charge the Renter for the replacement value of the mobility scooter.
• At the start of the rental period, a form will be completed together with the hirer whereby any damage to the mobility scooter prior to commencement of the rental period will be marked. After the rental period, the mobility scooter must be returned in the same condition as when the rental agreement started. Efteling is entitled to compensation if the aforementioned is not the case.
• It is not allowed to drive the mobility scooter while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The Renter is expected to use the mobility scooter in a proper and normal manner. When parking the mobility scooter, the Renter is obliged to lock it in accordance with Efteling's instructions.
• The Renter confirms that he/she has experience with driving a mobility scooter.
• No more than one person is allowed on a mobility scooter.
• lf the aforementioned articles are not complied with, Efteling may retrieve the mobility scooter immediately without refunding the rental fee.
• The mobility scooter, charger and its keys must be returned to the location where the mobility scooter was rented. The Renter is liable for the loss of the mobility scooter, charger and/or its keys.
• For the mobility scooters, Efteling has only taken out third-party liability insurance. The Renter confirms that he/she is aware that no other insurance policies are in place for the mobility scooter, such as damage to, or theft of, the mobility scooter and/or accessories, and agrees to this limited insurance cover with excess. By doing so, the Renter therefore also acknowledges that he/she is liable for all possible resulting damage to the mobility scooter and/or (property of) third parties whether it was caused by negligence, carelessness, fault or intent during the use of the mobility scooter.
• In case of an accident, Efteling should be contacted as soon as possible.
• When the mobility scooter is returned, Efteling has the right to check the mobility scooter for any damage. If any damage has occurred to the mobility scooter, third parties or objects during its use, it must be reported to Efteling as soon as possible. Any damage should be paid for by the Renter. Efteling is not liable for damage and/or injury caused by the Renter and/or any passenger due to improper use during the rental period. The Renter is fully responsible and liable for this. The Renter is also responsible for any fines, payments and administrative penalties resulting from improper use of the mobility scooter.
• The Renter is obliged to inform Efteling of any violations, fines or damage whether or not caused by the Renter and to confirm this in writing when requested.
• If the mobility scooter is not returned, it will be reported as stolen to the police. The Renter will also be charged the amount of the replacement value for the mobility scooter. If the keys are lost, an amount of € 150 per key will be charged. If the mobility scooter breaks down, the Renter must immediately inform Efteling of the breakdown and the Renter's location by telephone. If the mobility scooter cannot be used any longer, Efteling will do its best to arrange a replacement mobility scooter, if one is available. The mobility scooter should never be left unattended if it is not locked. If a breakdown is caused by someone other than the Renter and no replacement mobility scooter is available, part of the rental fee will be refunded to the Renter.
• The mobility scooter must be returned at the agreed time. The mobility scooter must also be returned in the same condition as when it was collected.
• The mobility scooter is equipped with tracking software. This tracking software will be switched on to find the whereabouts of the mobility scooter if it is not returned.
• When returning the mobility scooter, the Renter must immediately inform Efteling of any hidden damage or defects not mentioned in the damage records.
• The Renter is always responsible for compensating all damage in the event of irresponsible driving. This also applies to non-compliance with traffic laws, vandalism and misuse and improper use of the mobility scooter. If the damage occurs during the use of the mobility scooter by a non-registered Renter, the Renter is liable for all costs related to the damage.
• Efteling is always entitled to cancel a reservation for a mobility scooter without giving reasons.
